Race Notes: This race is a fundraiser for the Somaly Mam Foundation, http://www.somaly.org/about-smf/somaly-mam, which rescues and rehabilitates survivors of the sex slave trade. The race will take place in Riverside Park, NY starting near 102nd St. There is a 5K walk that starts at 9 a.m.
A 1 hour endurance run will start at 9:30 a.m. Runners will run as many loops as they can in 1 hour.

Race Notes: Tioghnioga Winter Carnival will host the second DeRuyter White-Out Certified 5k Walk/Run on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in front of DeRuyter Central School . The White-Out is a USA T&F Certified 5k Walk/Run (certification code NY10019JG) scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. The course begins at the DeRuyter Central School and then loops throughout our quaint rural village. Race Notes: The Nature Center has become a favorite location for outdoor enthusiasts to pursue fitness activities such as running. In an effort to encourage year round outdoor activity and help bridge the gap from fall to spring, Beaver Lake has organized this event. The run is 5K and it begins and ends at the Visitor Center, using nearby country roads. All proceeds benefit the Nature Center. The run is open to all ages and the pre-registration entry price of $17 ($20 day of race) includes a long sleeved t-shirt for the first 100 entrants. Race Notes: This beautiful and challenging course follows a northern extension of the Finger Lakes Trail system along the eastern rim of the Letchworth gorge from Mt. Morris to Portageville. The trail is very runnable, well-marked and lovingly maintained, but by no means easy. Your meander through the wooded single-track along the rim will be punctuated by a seemingly interminable series of gullies, each entailing a rapid descent and a climb again to the rim. Many small stream crossings and ever-present roots will keep you on your toes. Pace yourself well. The course does not get easier as you near the finish. Prepare to test your endurance, prepare to have a blast, and prepare for an adventure
Race Notes: Come join ATC Endurance for the annual Cooperstown Triathlon, presented by the Otesaga Hotel. This year’s race is Memorial Day weekend in beautiful and historic Cooperstown, NY. The 800m swim will leave from the Otesaga Hotel Lakefront, followed by a 11.6 mile bike ride and 3 mile run.

Race Notes: 10K and 1 Mile Fun Run. Borrowing from the fable this is a race for the slow as well as the fast. Speed alone is not the goal. The victory is in finishing the run. This is a good introduction to trail running (and to local trails ), and one of the few trail runs accessible by city buses from Ithaca [#4 North/South to Buttermilk Falls State Park ¡ª check this to verify present schedule]. The ONE MILE trail course is practically flat ; it can be completed by anyone regardless of age. The 10 K+ (10.8 km or 6.7 miles) is a trail run on a small scale (only ¡Ö900' of climb).
Race Notes: A ½-mile swim in Green Lake, followed by a 20-kilometer bike ride (mostly outside the park), followed by a 5-kilometer run on the trail around both lakes.

The Violet Festival preserves the historical aspects of the Village of Dolgeville through the use of innovative, artistic, and educational displays throughout the year.

Race Notes: It’s our second year for the 5K Race for Hunger at the Seneca Meadows Wetlands Preserve in Seneca Falls, New York, and we are excited that you will be joining us! The event will benefit the House of Concern, a very active, local food pantry that services hundreds of families in need.
The unique features of this 5K are the stone dust path course and the surprisingly beautiful landscape of native plant species in this created wetland. This course is USTAF certified.

From the Thruway (I-90): Take Exit 41 (Waterloo) off of I-90. Turn right off the thruway ramp, and travel south on State Route 414 for 0.25 of a mile. Turn left onto State Route 318 and travel 1 mile.
Turn right onto Black Brook Road and travel 1 mile. The entrance to the Seneca Meadows Wetlands Preserve is on the right.
From the South: Travel along State Route 96 N until it intersects with State Routes 5 & 20 in Waterloo. Turn right onto Routes 5 & 20 E and travel 1 mile. Race Notes: Join us for the fourth annual Athleta Iron Girl Syracuse Women's Triathlon. Embracing seasoned athletes and novices alike, this event features a (600 meter Swim - 30K Bike - 5K Run). The event will take place at Oneida Shores Park in Brewerton, 12 miles north of Syracuse. The Iron Girl event experience provides women with the perfect platform for first timers and experienced athletes to reach their personal bests.
Race Notes: The race is held in the Finger Lakes Region of upstate New York, which happens to be home to a number of world famous wineries. Our host, Taughannock Falls State Park, which lies about 8 miles north of Ithaca, provides a picturesque setting for the whole family to enjoy the triathlon. Entrance to the Park includes public swimming, a playground for the wee little ones, an abundance of shaded picnic areas and hiking trails. Tent, RV, and cabin camping is available, and the Park maintains a quaint little marina that includes a boat ramp for access to the shimmering blue waters of Cayuga Lake.

Race Notes: The Turning Stone Races will be held at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, NY August 24-26, 2012.

Race Notes: Every September, over 1,200 athletes from over 18 states and Canada gather on the shores of beautiful Canandaigua Lake to compete in the Finger Lakes Triathlon. Cheering them on is crowd of over 2,000 family members, friends, volunteers and community members. This is a premier event in the world of competitive triathlon – one of the largest in Upstate NY. The race course consists of an Olympic and Sprint distance for individuals or teams so that athletes of all abilities can take part. We also hold a Kid’s Triathlon designed for 6-15 year olds.
Race Notes: The 35th Great Cow Harbor 10K Run will be on Saturday, September 15, 2012 and is expected to be the biggest Cow Harbor Race yet. Last year over 5,600 participants ran through the village streets of Northport, New York with another 700 running in the 2K race. Sanctioned by the Road Runners Club of America, this race has been selected as a Championship Race for the eleventh consecutive year.
Race Notes: Whiteface Mountain Uphill Foot Race is 8 miles on a 8% Grade Course. The Climb is 3,500' up Scenic Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway. New York's 5th highest peak with 360° panoramic views of the Adirondacks, New England, Vermont and Montreal. Starting line is at the Junction of Routes 86 & 431 in Wilmington, New York. USATF certified course.
Race Notes: The historic Village of Cooperstown is a small town in the heart of central New York with global appeal. The second closest multi-distance triathlon to New York City in the HITS Triathlon Series makes this another home run for Tri-State Area athletes. The course in Cooperstown is a multi-loop race which makes the venue a grand slam for spectators; the athletes swim loops in Otsego Lake, ride laps around the same body of water and the run back along the same country roads frequented by local Amish families. Families will love all that Cooperstown has to offer in September, from beautiful fall foliage, to the historic Baseball Hall of Fame, to the popular annual Pumpkin Festival.

We have rerouted our former NY course to capture the beauty of upstate NY in the fall and the incredible terrain of the Adirondacks. The new relay starts at the Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga Springs, skirts along the Hudson River, passes through the Lake George region, up the southern side of Lake Champlain and ends in Lake Placid, the home of two Winter Olympic Games.
Race Notes: “They Can’t Stop Me!” 5k walk/run is presented by The Jerry Barsha Memorial Foundation. This is a charity event which funds The Jerry Barsha Memorial Scholarship at Onondaga Community College for a student pursuing a career in Electronic Media. Fund raising is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged!

Race Notes: The Empire State Marathon and Half Marathon is Sunday, October 21, 2012 and will include the New York State Health and Wellness Expo on Friday and Saturday: October 14th and 15th at the Burdick Driver's Village Clock Courtyard (1st Floor around the Center Clock). Registration and Packet Pick Up will occur at the Expo.
Both Races will be USATF Certified, which means they are legal for USATF, IAAF recognized records and Boston Marathon, New York City Marathon and Olympic Qualifying times.
The Half Marathon Course: Is a flat, fast, out and back course running North from Alliance Bank Park Stadium to Liverpool along Lakeshore Parkway all the way to the most Northern end of Onondaga Lake Park and then back again to Finish at Alliance Bank Stadium.
The Marathon Course: Follows the same flat course as the Half Marathon to the end of Onondaga Lake Park, but then continues Northwest along the Seneca River with a modest climb back to Route 370 , proceeding North to Baldwinsville (the half way point for the Marathon course). The course continues East on Route 31 , turns onto River Road for a nice descent back to Onondaga Lake Park and then back along Onondaga Lake Parkway to the finish line waiting at Alliance Bank Park Stadium.
The Marathon Relay: The Marathon Relay transfer locations will be roughly every 6 to 7 miles at sites that will be determined based on best positions for transfer, viewership and the pick -up of participants.

Race Notes: The Stockade-athon is popularly recognized as the oldest "major" 15K road race in the USA. Starting in 1976 this classic 9.3 miler has become the highlight event on the fall racing season in upstate New York. New England Runner selected the Stockade-athon as its 2005 "Race of the Year."
Race Notes: Join this long standing family fun tradition in Webster NY. The course is mainly on the road with the last 3/4 mile on trail in Webster Park. Started by Former Webster XC Coach Jim May in the early 70's as a training run and now is the largest race in Webster, NY.

Certificates will also be awarded for all runners who have run 5 years in the Snowball Run races.
